CHALK PAINT™ Workshops

Chalk Paint™ 101 - Basic

 

Join us at our loft studio and learn how easy it is to work with Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan.  We will show you how it can be used in a number of different ways to transform tired or dated furniture into fresh, beautiful pieces. This workshop will give you the experience and confidence to complete your own Chalk Paint projects. We cover several application techniques and you will create sample boards of each one to take home, along with an Annie Sloan paint colour chart, to help plan your future projects. You will also learn the proper technique of applying both clear & dark Soft Wax to create a beautiful old world, protective finish.

You will learn:

 

  • Annie’s signature finish: a two-colour distressed finish

  • a smooth, contemporary finish

  • a rustic, textured finish

  • a colour wash

  • a simple crackle finish

  • proper techniques for applying both clear & dark wax

 

All supplies are included.  Just show up in your painting clothes!

 

 

Cost

$85 +HST.  You can reserve your space by paying in-store or over the phone with a valid credit card.  A non-refundable deposit of $40 will be retained for all cancellations.

 

Includes:  15% OFF on (up to 4 cans of) any paint purchase on that date.

 

Registration

To register we ask you to please pre-pay for your workshop by visiting us at reFIND Salvage or contacting us at 226.979.2668 during regular business hours.

 

Cancellations require 7 days notice and a workshop credit will be issued for a later date, otherwise a deposit of $40 will be retained.  There will no refunds/credits for failure to show up without notice.

 

Each workshop has a minimum number or participants, if this number is not met you will be contacted 2 days prior to the workshop & we will offer you an opportunity to reschedule for a future class or a full refund.

 

We will start the workshop on time so we recommend that you arrive about 10 minutes early to get settled.

Chalk Paint™ 102 - Advanced

 

Our Chalk Paint™ 102 - Advanced Workshop will teach you more advanced techniques that can be achieved using Chalk Paint™ and other Annie Sloan products. You will be taught how to successfully use Annie Sloan Craqueleur (step 1 and 2), Annie Sloan Gold Size for simple gilding & Annie Sloan Decoupage. Decorative stenciling and an advanced painting technique will get you thinking outside the box on your next projects!

NOTE:  Completion of Chalk Paint™ 101 - Basic is strongly encouraged prior to registering for Chalk Paint™ 102 - Advanced.
